Northwest Kayak Club Sunday, May 7th Applegate Lake

maxresdefault

The spring if full of opportunities to get out and use our kayaks.  The mountain lakes are filling nicely and Applegate lake is looking better than it has in a long time so we planned a Northwest Kayak Club trip for May.  We just did a Kayak Club trip earlier this month at Emigrant  Lake and it was wonderful even with variable weather the lake was nice and its more serene before the summer crowds.   We have over 370 members on the meetup.org club site.  If you haven’t signed up yet here is a link to join .  We will be leading trips all summer so keep an eye out here for upcoming trips.  Also we encourage anyone with a desire to lead trips though out the year to contact us with your ideas so we can take full advantage of the excellent kayaking opportunities this area affords us.
If your able to join us for the Applegate Lake outing in May let’s meet at the boat ramp at Hart-Tish campground near the general store at noon. Bring your kayaks, sups, canoe, etc. and food, water and anything you will need for a few hours of enjoying the waters of this beautiful lake.

STORE EXPANSION

EXPANSIONWe opened this store a few years back with the goal of offering quality outdoor equipment at an affordable price.  We also envisioned a broader purpose for your local outdoor store as a resource where folks could come together from every corner of our outdoor community and share experience with local trails, waterways and mountains.  This year we are proud to announce we are closer to this goal by expanding into the Yotopia Yogurt location and offering a tap room growler station.   We have had many outdoor enthusiasts meeting here for a cold brew after bicycle rides, or hikes or a fun day on the water.  We invite any local outdoor group to get in touch with us if you are in need of a meetup location.

OREGON GIFT AREA-NOW OPEN!

The store has just received its first major expansion and face lift.  With all the improved room we added an Oregon Gift shop to your local outdoor store!  You will find fun items celebrating the uniqueness of Southern Oregon like Sasquatch and Bigfoot memorabilia.  We also brought in wooden and glass figurines inspired by the nature that surrounds us in the Northwest.  You will find rocks, gems and lighted stars, ornaments and metalwork that is mindful of what motivates us to explore our awesome outdoor playground.  There are games, weather stations and hand puppets for kids and the young at heart.  Plenty of I Heart Oregon stickers, mugs and mini kegs for the fans of our great state and the outdoors that we all have access to.
